Description:
At 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon, I went into the garage, to take out the garbage. As I was leaving the garage, I spotted a beetle, resting on the hood of a car, that was parked in the garage. This beetle, was five sixteenth of an inch long. The color of its elytra, was medium brown. This beetle, had two, round, black eyes. It's abdomen, was a light tan color. Beetles, are a group of insects, that form the order Coleoptera. Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Insecta Order: Coleoptera.
Habitat:
Beetles, are found in nearly all habitats, including freshwater and coastal habitats, wherever vegetative foliage is found, from trees and there bark to flowers, leaves, and underground near roots-even inside plants in galls, in every plant tissue, including dead or decaying ones.
Notes:
I spotted this beetle, resting on the hood of a car, that was parked in the garage, at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
