Field Notes

Description:

My very first eggplant blossom, which I raised from seed! The plant itself is about 24" tall, with several large deep green egg shaped leaves veined with purple.

Habitat:

My backyard Florida sandhill garden.

Notes:

This variety of eggplant is so beautiful. Even If our family didn't like eggplant (we all do..) , this is so pretty that I'd be tempted to plant it anyway. Worthy of a front yard garden even, mixed in with some other flowers or ornamental grasses.
