Description:

when singing the male usually perches on to of a reed or bush, the wind was blowing in the second photo so it makes it look as if he has a very regal ruff or collar! similar size to a sparrow and listed as amber status in Britain due to habitat loss.

Habitat:

seen at Rutland waters nature reserve.
