Field Notes

Description:

small birdie, about 6-8 inches in head to tail length, brownish feathers with white body, resembled at first instance to me like a duck, but the webbed claws were missing.

Habitat:

near waer body and marshy areas

Notes:

this lil one was busy gobbling a lot of small insects in the water and at the bank of water body..... looked quite shy to me, and a good runner.

thanks again ashley.....looking for further details.
It's a type of sandpiper, but can't help you any further than that. They are all too similar! Hopefully someone else can be of more help :)
