Field Notes

Description:

Size: 2 - 3.5 inches long. Female is significantly larger than male. Eggs of toad laid in two strings. Hatch in 2-14 days. Color and pattern is variable. Gray/brown with multiple bumps. Male call is a high trill which I heard a lot! Very loud. Hibernate during winter.

Habitat:

Woodlands. Small man-made pond near woods.

Notes:

5 days since string of eggs laid. Not hatched yet.
