Description:

Distinguished by nine or 10 dorsal spines and 10 to 13 rays. The anal fin has three spines and nine or 10 rays.

Habitat:

This species was netted, and released, at a fresh water lake at a County park in Pinellas County, FL near the public boat launch area of the park.
