Field Notes

Description:

The male blue-winged teal has a speckled brown body with a gray head that has a half moon shape at the base of the bill. The male cinnamon teal is reddish all over with a dark bill and red eye. The american avocet has a white body with a orange head and neck, the wings are streaked black and white, and the bill is long, black and curved.

Habitat:

These three were found swimming together at the local park. I think it would have been way cooler if the avocet was a green-winged teal so they would have all been teals, but oh well :)
