Description:

The Six-spotted Tiger Beetle (Cicindela sexguttata) is abundant in springtime on forest paths in the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada. (Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North America)

Habitat:

Roadside on edge of mixed woodland on edge of brackish swamp. Common in most sandy and gravely areas.
