Field Notes

Habitat:

Very sandy soil in the area. Mid-Eastern Alberta, on the SK border. Very cold winters.

Notes:

Most likely "Opuntia fragilis" because I've only seen them very low growing in this area. However it could be the "Opuntia polyacantha", I'm definitely no cacti expert.
