Description:

Jackfruit tree growing on the island of Seychelles. The fruit has a somewhat unpleasant smell but has an interesting, sweet taste. Often found in the markets in Victoria.

@Craigwilliams - You are correct, my mistake! Breadfruit have a much more oval shape. Thanks for the heads up!
Based on its leaves, I'd say this is jackfruit, Artocarpus heterophyllus. The fruits are so similar but the leaves are very distinct. There are a lot of Artocarpus species around here (Malesia) that might be similar, but I'm not sure if there are any native species in the Seychelles that could be confused with jackfruit.
