Description:
Very similar looking to a house sparrow but this male has a fully black head and neck plus a white lineal moustache. They are found as their name suggests by reeds and marshes. The tables full of seed are provided by the wildlife trust that owns the reserve. slightly larger than a European Robin.
Habitat:
seen near the marshes in Potteric Carr nature reserve, owned by the Yorkshire wildlife trust.
