Field Notes

Description:

We saw a lot of toads in our pond. They were making a lot of noise calling to each other. The female toads were laying eggs in a long line that was twisted like a spring. They were so busy laying eggs and croaking that they didn't even notice us or get scared.

I put some of the eggs in a habitat and I am watching them turn into tadpoles and then tadpoles with legs and then toads. We will put them back in our pond.

Habitat:

Our pond.
