Field Notes

Description:

This bird has a very recognisable silvery sheen to the back of its head and also a pale eye. Its around pigeon sized and is part of the crow family. This one seemed to be enjoying sitting still in the sunshine unconcerned with anything else going on around it.

Habitat:

seen at Potteric Carr nature reserve, owned by Yorkshire wildlife trust
