Field Notes

Description:

A subtly colored but beautiful Copper-brown moth, like an American Indian blanket. Note the tiny beetle to the right of the moth. The moth is about 1 cm long so the beetle is less than 1 mm. I didn't even know it was there until I saw the photo. The last two pictures were taken on May 3, 2013 in the same place.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
