Field Notes

Description:

A butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. Small (25-40mm), inconspicuous butterfly. Has a brown coloured upper-side with orange and dark brown markings.

Habitat:

Rocky hillsides in the fynbos and karoo.

Notes:

The adults have no mouthparts and do not eat.
