Description:

Large blackbird, slim in body with long tapered tail that fans out in flight. The male's black color is iridescent like the Red-wing and Brewer's Blackbird. The eyes are yellow and bill is long and slightly curved. Legs are long. The call of the bird is unmistakeable.

Habitat:

This was in the same flooded field that has island of reeds as the Yellow-headed and Red-winged Blackbirds.
