A wingless katydid in the subfamily Tettigoniidae.

Habitat:

Spotted while working in South Tacoma, Wa.

Cool find! Do you have any other views? I am feeling pretty sure that this is a species of Shield-backed Katydid. Subfamily Tettigoniinae: http://bugguide.net/node/view/284/bgpage I am leaning towards Genus Apote or maybe Genus Anabrus. If you have any more images, that would possibly help with ID.
