Field Notes
Description:
A clump of mushrooms with caps about 35 mm wide. The caps were a pale yellowish orange with cream margins. Some caps had prominent umbos. Gills were crowded, cream coloured and appeared "dirty" with dark spores. Some of the caps showed a greenish yellow stain on the underside including the stipe. The stipe had a delicate annulus stained with dark spores (pic #3). bases of stipes were a dark brown with white "fur".
Habitat:
Spotted growing on a damp decaying log , half buried in grass, beside a lake.
