Field Notes

Description:

It's a baby! About 1.25 inches long. Carapace (top of shell) domed, with dorsal ridge. Each scute has a yellow spot in the middle of it. Plastron (bottom of shell) light-colored with large black area down the center.

Habitat:

Found in my neighbors' yard, in a suburban area. Released next to nearby creek in woods.
