Field Notes

Description:

Snake found in our yard. It had the attitude of a gopher snake, really pissed off. But the coloring matches nothing we could identify.

Notes:

It had just raided a bird nest which was how we noticed because the parent birds were upset.

Species ID Suggestions

California kingsnake

Lampropeltis getula californiae
