good luck! I tried dryads saddle mushroom the other day and I don't really like the taste so much. It taste like watermelon rind too but much stronger...

I'll go back tomorrow and see if I can detect a watermelon rind smell.
It should smell similar to watermelon rind. It does have an unusual morphology gully.
Does look similar to Polyporus squamosus (Dryad's Saddle), but not completely typical. Perhaps it's just displaying an unusual morphology, or it else it could be something closely related.
