Description:
This specimen is an Adult Female of around 2.5 inches in length.
Asceles is a winged species and they are good flyer.
Like most Phasmids, they are nocturnal, tends to come out to feed after sunset and stay in the open before sunrise.
During day time, they tend to hide near branches/twigs making them diffiicult to spot as they can be very well camouflaged since they hardly move during day time.
Habitat:
Tropical rain forest.
This specie is quite common in Singapore.
