Description:
It is endemic to Cuba, where it is commonly known as 'chipojo'. It has been introduced in Florida.
Measuring up to 50 cm (being one of the greatest anoles) They can live up to 6 years. The female lays 7-23 eggs that hatch in 6-10 weeks. They are sometimes attacked by birds probably because they may be predators of the eggs or chicks.
