Field Notes
Description:
A medium sized bird. Very stocky. Fairly large eyes.The plumage is brown and white, streaked on the chest. The tail is long and and banded. The bill is dark, very short and curved. The legs and feet are orangey-yellow, with talons.
Habitat:
Urban backyard.
Notes:
Although this bird sat in the tree outside for quite a long while. I couldn't get a decent shot.Tried every angle. Too high up and as always, branches in the way. In hind sight...I should have climbed on the roof. lol.
