Description:

This Blue Dasher dragonfly is a male with a white face, green eyes, a blue body and black and yellow stripes on his thorax. It holds its wings forward and downward while perched.

Habitat:

Along an inland fresh water canal in western Boca Raton, FL

Notes:

Several of these flitted around the bushes at the canal edge and landed on the twigs and on the algae pads on the canal water. They were about 2 inches long.
