Field Notes

Description:

Now this flower was really interesting because it is surrounded by ice plant and a really small shrub and appeared to be attached to both. Yellow well bloomed flower with a lot of what appears to be mini petals surrounding it.

Habitat:

This was deeper in the canyon close to the trail. The soil seemed damp but I think it gets its water supply from the ice plant.
