Description:

Medium size Kingfisher (22 cm) blue and white Kingfisher, very similar to Collared Kingfisher but slightly smaller, blue parts are more greenish, and breast is washed with buff or rufous instead of being clean white. It is resident in Australia, but regular visitor to Indonesia and New Guinea in the Southern winter.

Habitat:

Close to the water on the beach, stuck on the rock or stick for fishing and come back again on the same spot.. Very shy bird.
