Description:

Not as common as the Green Bottle fly, but still common. Infests garbage or lays eggs on roadkill.

Habitat:

Garbage,dumpsters,houses by accident, near anything dead.

Notes:

Can hybridize with green bottle fly. Adults drink plant nectar. Maggots eat rotting garbage,feces, and dead animals. These are a bit larger than the green bottle fly.
