Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful beetle that sports just about any color you can name! I took a few of these for a bug collection (we've been seeing them everywhere), but this is a live one that we let go.

Habitat:

A Sonic playground. Found 3 or 4 of them just today when I took this.

Notes:

If I had a favorite beetle, this would be it!

Mr. Goodwin: You're right, it definitely is. Wow, we haven't had any in our house yet, but it might happen soon! Jemma: It's amazing, isn't it!
They seem to go in waves, and 2013 is definitely their year. I have a friend who lives in a rural place and he said he removed 10 from his home the other night. They're out wandering, looking for caterpillars, and keep finding their way in. :-)
Yes it is! I love these guys. I don't remember seeing them before, but I guess right now is their time because they're everywhere.
