Description:
The flightless ostrich is the largest bird on Earth (2.4m). Its powerful legs allow to run up to 70km/h!
The female plumage is dark brown, whereas the male is black.
There is only 2 toes to each foot.
Habitat:
Arid savanna, dry wooded savanna.
Notes:
The eggs are laid in a communal nest. Females incubate in day light, male at night, to avoid predation.
