Field Notes

Description:

a bunch of these in the grass at Storm King Art Center, Mountainville, NY. This is the top, a suede-like brown. The bottom is totally beautiful, yellowish net-like gills that criss-cross. lies kinda low to the ground but has a stem. they're kinda soft and plushy.

We have this in our backyard here in Texas and this is exactly what I saw. I kept on searching what it is but I can't find any answers yet.
i found this in my garden in Singapore and also cannot identify it. how do i test if its poisonous or not?
I have found this in lawn in Minnesota and cannot identify. Any help would be great.
