Young cottonmouths in this area always have that distinctive pattern with the light and dark banding, but they darken up as they get older. Thanks AshleyT and Jolly. This snake would be the leucostoma based on range, I just didn't include that as part of the ID.

Jellis, this is already ID down to species level, there is absolutely no reason to suggest an ID so I have removed your ID as it was what he already labeled it as. Subspecies are a completely optional thing, if you think it should be included then you can comment saying so. And Brett, this is a beautiful snake!
