Description:

A large group of saddle fungi found altogether on a dead Elm, this fungi creates whiterot in its host, the largest was about 30cm across and 3 cm deep, the size of an average dinner plate! also known as pheasants fungi due to the pattern on the surface. The body can be yellow to brown and has "squamules" or scales on its upper side.

Habitat:

found in woodlands owned by the wildlife trust in Maltby, Rotherham.
