Description:
Very similar to the Ochraceous pewee but yet smaller, some brighter and much more common, the Tufted Flycatcher inhabits mountain evergreen and pine-oak woodlands in Mexico and occurs as far south as Bolivia. It is a small passerine bird in the tyrant flycatcher family, similar in size to the Empidonax flycatchers (11 - 12 cms), with a spiky crest.
