Good luck when you get to NC. Hope you find them.
I've never been in range for them, but they are one of the more rare toads in the eastern US. I think I'll barely be in range for them in NC, hope I can find one :) Glad you saw several, they are very small but so pretty!
Ashley, thanks for the ID. I saw 3 or 4 of these tiny toads on the trails at the reserve. I can't believe I got a toad you haven't seen yet:-) I'm sure it won't be long before you see tons of these.
Gah I can't spell, it's A. quercicus. And I'm super jealous of this, I want to see one so badly!
