Field Notes

Description:

About 1mm long.

Habitat:

My bathtub.

Notes:

I would have thought this was nothing more than a speck of dirt had I not seen it scurry around. When it moved it moved in quick bursts. A member of the Psocoptera or Booklice order of insects, in the family Trogiidae or Granary Booklice. They feed on stored grain. I have no idea what it was doing in my bathtub.
