Order: Caryophyllales Family: Aizoaceae
This is a native herbacious perennial succulant plant. It helps build the dunes by catching sand in its stems and leaves.

Habitat:

Along the coastline with sea oats, greenbrier, and other plants. Near the dunes.

Notes:

Picture was taken in St. Augustine, FL.
