Field Notes

Description:

Late afternoon, this young Rock Python created a road block! Refused to move (about 40 cm youngster). But he was a good poser and we were lucky to have our cameras ready!

Habitat:

Middle of the road, close to the Northern entrance to Mlawula nature reserve.

No Jopy, I have a long way to go until I reach that point, but every snake encounter gives me a great chance to become better, and this one was very cooperative... Pure luck! I might go to Croatia for a week in June, so perhaps I will run into one there as well :) Thank you Senhor Dan for your comment too :)
well, you became expert for snake spottings, great!
