Blue Jay
Cyanocitta cristata
52.1466, -106.641
Field Notes
Description:
A blue-grey, creasted jay, with black barring and white patches on the wings. Underparts mostly light grey-whitish.
Habitat:
City suburb; foraging along the Saskatchewan river banks in a wooded area.
Notes:
My first blue jay ever!
I was attracted by a light, musical song and was expected a small passerine. Instead of which I discovered this blue jay.
