Field Notes

Description:

A member of the Carob family. Grows to 4m as an erect bush. The young branches are hairy. Found as an ornamental bush as far north as the Mediterranean. This plant is naturally occurring in the Aberdare area of East Africa, and seen along a mountain trail.
