Field Notes

Description:

Three large pairs of white spots on the upper surface, surrounded by a medium blue halo on a black wing, faintly edged in white.

Habitat:

Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 1000m.

Notes:

Found mud puddling on a large patch of otter excrement, judging by the foul smell and undigested fish scales.
