Description:

Several sparrows feeding together. Harris's sparrow is the largest sparrow we have in South Dakota.

Habitat:

Backyard. Foraging under feeders.

We definitely do. We are kind of on the border of Eastern and Western species so we get a lot of species at the edges of their range. We are also in the middle of a big migratory pathway, so lots of birds pass through. I saw my first Ibis last week. I guess they're becoming more common here.
You do have some unusual bird's out there!
