Field Notes

Description:

A handsome ghost moth with dark tented wings . The wings had a span of about 40 mm and showed pale curvy patterns.
Antennae were feathery and the thorax had dense brown setae.

Habitat:

Spotted near a national park - mixed native trees. <br> Occurrence record : <br>

Endemic to South Eastern Australia

Thanks to my friend and officer of the local Country Fire Authority (CFA) who photographed this moth for me to post on PN. <br> My thanks also to Cathy Powers for the ID. This was previously incorrectly identified as Oncopera moth. <br>Family: Hepialidae
