Field Notes

Description:

The spider was about 5-10 cm long and had a completely black body. It had eight golden/yellow legs that were about 3 cm long. It was staying still with barely any movements. The main part of the body was shaped rounded at both ends.

Habitat:

I found it in a slightly shaded area with a bit of light coming through the branches. The spider was up in its web about 2-3 meters from the ground and was hanging in between two small trees.
