Field Notes
Description:
This Mammal was by a rock climbing spot that we had posted up. As i was belaying my partner this little creature pops out of know where and started sniffing for any kind of morsel that could have been possibly left behind. it seem cautious but uninterested that we were present in its area. a very cute little creature with shorten legs, as though it was permanently prowling. possibly one of the reasons why the name was given; ringtail cat even though he is part of the procyonidea (racoon) family, he had more traits to a cat. this was a spectacular sight to see in red rocks national park, NV.
Habitat:
Brush desert, Rocky areas, a place to hide. small Carnivore.
Notes:
noticed our presents but smelled our food that we took with us.
