Description:

endemic to Montserrat, Dominica, and Guadeloupe, but as with many reptiles and snakes, it is only common on Dominica due to the absence of mongooses found on the other islands.

Habitat:

dry coastal forest

Notes:

I spotted this snake at Cabrits national park.

Thanks Jolly. @Texans, I just kept creeping slowly closer and closer to this snake. It was fairly calm and let me approach quite close. I took the shot with my 100mm macro lens so it looks like I'm even closer than I am.
