Field Notes

Description:

Male is a small black-and-white duck with a white body and black upper parts and white spot on the back of his head. The underbody is white and quite bright.
The female is a small duck with upperbody and brown a white round spot on both cheeks and light brown underbody.

Habitat:

The Bufflehead prefers lakes and ponds for it’s habitat.
