Species ID Suggestions

Comments (5)

Hi Rubens. This looks so much like the one we have in Mexico. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/24832186/fullscreen. Bayucca identified it as an Erebid (Noctuid) moth Hemeroblemma mexicana.
Leuba, it was 6 cm wide, 3.5 cm high, I found it in a vase ...I tried to find the id in some sites but with no success. I am sure that it is time to ask Bayucca ...he knows everything about moths and butterflies.
Rubens, this is a lovely and interesting moth and deserves some information ! Could you please write where you saw it, how big it was and any other information that might help with the identification (and to make this a complete PN spotting). Thanks.
