Description:

"Mealybugs are insects in the family Pseudococcidae, unarmored scale insects found in moist, warm climates. They are considered pests as they feed on plant juices of greenhouse plants, house plants and subtropical trees and also acts as a vector for several plant diseases." ~wiki

Habitat:

spotted on the henbane (Hyoscyamus sp.) plant in my desert garden

Thanks, Johan, for the ID! We usually spray with a mixture of soapy water and essential oils, like fennel. But this plant just got pulled out because we didn't want it anyway. And, thankfully, it was the only plant in the garden with these bugs...so far!
squirt them with soapy water.
Do you have any advice on how to get rid of them as well Johan? :)
