Field Notes

Description:

Large snake that superficially resembles a bullsnake (gopher snake). Non-venomous.

Habitat:

Spotted by Shelly Cox on the side of the road through the refuge. Grassy borders along the road, but wetlands and riparian areas throughout the refuge.
